Huon Valley - Cider and Sail

From AUD $85.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Franklin, TAS
  • Product code: PENPUX

Enjoy a quintessential Huon Valley day out at two of its much loved destinations – lunch at Willie Smith’s Apple Shed, before a cruise abord the 1930’s Danish ketch “Yukon” on the beautiful Houn River.

A scenic 30 minutes south of Hobart, you’ll arrive at the old apple packing shed, build in 1942 – today home to Willie Smith’s Cider. Here you’ll enjoy a feast of local Valley produce, followed by a slice of their famous apple pie. Arrive early so you’ve got time to wander in the apple museum or among the apple trees in the nursery.

Then drive just 10 minutes down the road to Franklin, on the banks of the Huon River. Here you’ll board the Yukon’ the two masted sailing vessel for the afternoon’s Calm Water Cruise departing from and returning to, the Franklin Marina.
